Well here are my photos from the same event. They come from Tabitha’s old school camera…hence the delay.
I am pleased I have cheekbones in these shots. They are essential for any frontman.

Wait a second; “urban street crime” in Maine? You have got to be joking; this is one of lamest excuses possible. These busybodies obviously assume that no one realises Maine is a mostly rural state. It’s almost as if these people are trying to raise the crime rate in Maine to justify their existence. Maine has always had a fairly low rate of property crime, because the state has a reputation for a highly armed citizenry.

CMU reports that the They Might Be Giants mainman is getting active about this November’s election.
They Might Be Giants’ John Flansburgh has compiled a new compilation album in aid of the MoveOn organisation which exists to champion the cause of democracy in the US (apparently America isn’t quite as democratic as George W likes to claim). REM, Blink 182 and Fountains Of Wayne are among the artists who have donated tracks to the album – called ‘Future Soundtrack for America’ – which will be released through Seattle-based indie Barsuk Records on 10 Aug.Other artists on the album include Bright Eyes, Death Cab For Cutie, David Byrne, OK Go, Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am, TMBG, of course, and a track from the late singer/songwriter Elliot Smith…
Asked about how he got so many artists involved Flansburgh continued: “I called people that I knew and people I knew who knew other people, and I have to say I was completely knocked out. Virtually everyone we approached was into it. This is a very different moment than a lot of others where moderate people, people with sensible, measured political opinions are more than a little outraged by what’s happening. Everyone has to remember the events of the last election. Things have not gotten better since then; they’ve gotten worse. There’s no reason that we cannot affect a basic change.”
And hurrah to that – we’ll let you know if the album is going to get a release over here. Meantime don’t forget TMBG’s new album ‘The Spine’ is out on 5 Jul on Cooking Vinyl – look out for our review tomorrow.
And most of them probably remember the whingeing from sore losers like this bloke. I mean, surely it would be a good idea to concentrate on defeating Bush in November rather than blithering on about something that happened in 2000? One wonders whether this shows the desperation in the anti-Bushies. Do they no longer think that Kerry has the gumption to beat Bush in November?
Or maybe the reason they have to harp on their allegations of a “stolen election’, which are patently a load of ole’ tosh, because they fear that Iraq and the economy are doing much better than they claim.
And, of course, if you really want to convince anyone, other than the leftie tin-foil-hat brigade, that you are seriously with it, mentioning this is for MoveOn.org is not the best idea.
