Myths of Palestine
Several of Silent Running’s readers are having a rather good time calmly correcting the myth and falsehoods being peddled by a few anti-Israel types. Rather interestingly, at least one of the defenders of the “art” that was recently taken down in Oz claims to neither be anti-Israel nor anti-Jew. Unfortunately his rhetoric and “facts” rather contradict his assertions.

Last night I attended Conservative Future’s Thatcher anniversary event at the East India Club in London, a rather well-attended event that brought out many of those less active and more attractive younger Tories. Interestingly, for such an event, while there was a cash bar, the prices for drinks were rather reasonable for central London (£2.50 for Bells and Coke). The great lady finally made an appearance and gave a forceful if at times shaky speech. She is definitely showing her age and the strain of the loss of her husband plus the myriad of events this last week. Needless to say, the scrum to shake her hand and talk to her was quite crushing. I waited for her leaving and said hello, as well as greeting her aide d’ camp Mark Worthington, whom I have known for years.
It was a great event that was attended by Cuthie, Frank Sensenbrenner (who is not fat and can tie his tie), my former Hull-mate Craig Rimmer,
Hollywood does PR for envirobullshit
Bjorn Lomberg trashes The Day After Tomorrow in today’sTelegraph. The timing of this movie is obviously no coincidence. The movie is being released in the run-up to the political conventions in this election year. Nice to see the morons in Hollywood staying out of politics.
Just remember when you pay for a ticket to see this kind of left-wing propaganda you are helping the loonie left-wing agenda both monetarily and numerically.

The French are whinging that Chris Petain’ (nee Patten) does not know French well enough to become head of the EU. Unfortunately they are living under the delusion that knowing French matters in the EU.
Wonder when they will finally admit to themselves that French falls behind even the european masters German, which, in turn, falls behind English?!
