About time this happened…
Simon Weisenthal has finally been given a knighthood by the Queen.
“We are greatly honored that Simon Wiesenthal is being knighted by Her Majesty the Queen,” said Rabbi Marvin Hier. “Since 1945, he has been the conscience of the Holocaust. Hidden from view by the relentless media emphasis on casualties and gore, all to their chosen political end, is this battle for Iraq being waged at, over, and through Iraqis, pitting two politically-driven ayatollahs against each other, waging a fierce battle from behind their masks of religiosity. Sistani and alSadr have different motivations, different methodologies, but the same goal: dominance over all things secular in Iraq. A great many Iraqis rightly fear the success of either one, but fear retribution even more, so they are seldom heard, prefering to duck and take cover, with very good reason.
The world should also fear these two, for they would destroy what is just starting to grow after years of terror and destruction: a new and successful Iraq, free from the taint of either ruthless dictatorship or ruthless theocracy.
