There are ordinary liars, and then there are politicians!
Blair, Blunkett, et alia are living proof of that caption. JFM cannot say on this blog the words that crossed her mind upon reading this little gem.
It means the Cabinet’s deal to delay the introduction of ID cards seems to have been thrown out of the window and that Blunkett will be given the go-ahead to fast-track the project. Blair also claimed the current climate had lessened privacy concerns and that there “is no longer a civil liberties objection”.
Nothing could be further from the truth than this one. There is most certainly an enormous collection of civil liberties groups protesting this action…just follow the link in the complete article. The last little bastion of the masses’ sense of privacy, individuality, and just plain humanness will be stripped from them in one stroke!
Politicians of this ilk are but wanna-be dictators!

Following links from one blog to the next, one finds gems from time to time. Alphecca has a link to a short post about a rather pathetic UK reporter whose knickers are all in a twist over “those dreadful Americans” citing the rising crime statistics in the UK in support of the US continuing to support the right to bear arms under their own 2nd Amendment. For a bit of a chuckle, and some ironic truth, try this on for size.
