Quisling Watch

April 01st, 2004 | Category: ROPMA

Yesterday, in the Guardian, a columnist defends Islamist thought in Britain. Apparently, the rude comments of a few yobs both exemplify the views on Middle Britain and justify hostility. If every group adopted the view than an uncouth individual’s idiotic remarks are an excuse for violently acting against society, one only need to contemplate the consequences. Mr Shadjareh displays this view of the ‘ummah’, the concept that a Muslim’s first obligation must be to other Muslims, above any sense of law and morality, perfectly. Apparently, anyone who justifiably criticises the silence of the rest of Islam with regard to fundamentalist terrorists belongs in the same category as a yob who makes rude remarks at Muslims. Why has this group been more expected than many others to oppose these actions? Because society at large hasn’t heard any voices from Islam condemning terrorism. With each successive atrocity, the moral weight of society’s expectations increases on a group whose adherents have defended these actions, but no other members have opposed it. Why is Islam expected to condemn terrorism? Because we have heard Imams praising it, but we have yet to heard anyone condeming it. These expectations will end as soon as some Muslim leader (whether religious or political) openly condemns terrorism without reservation.

Jump up and down and yell ‘Yeah!’

April 01st, 2004 | Category: ROPMA

Never have two lovebirds so blissfully shared a bed since Hitler let Mussolini ride in his Mercedes. The European Left / Islamo-fascist axis goes from strength to strength; soon theyll be applying for one of Mr Blairs new gay marriage licenses.

The Axis has been clutching at every Western death in Iraq. Mr Frisk is triumphant, perhaps in the forlorn hope his dire predictions (hundreds of thousands dead, millions of refugees, Middle East in flames) will at last come true.

The Shaganfraud pouring forth from todays Leftists papers on the murder of a couple of Westerners bears more resemblance to Ben Ladens grinning satisfaction after 9/11.

The Independent leads with a Kill-American commemorative special, devoting several pages to Iraqis killing the enemy, and in full colour too. A few American dead is good news, but having them mutilated for the cameras is surely cause for celebration.

Grin and bear it

April 01st, 2004 | Category: Amusements, Political Correctness

Today is the day, every year, when morons think they can be funny. Practical jokers and other idiots use this as a cover for stupid behaviour. If you don’t like it, you don’t have a sense of humour or fun. I say sod it, if some arsehole does something that pisses you off tell, hit, or report them. Might save someone else the hassle the next year.

The only fool on April Fool’s is the fool who marks it with foolish behaviour.

Home-grown terrorists

April 01st, 2004 | Category: ROPMA

Michael Burleigh has written a sobering piece in the DT today on the threat the British face in their own land. As he quite rightly says there are already Muslim spokesmen backpeddling from the statements of the Muslim Council of Great Britian. Last night, Newsnight saw a senior member of the Muslim community bringing up excuses such as Palestine and Chechnya. He was unable to explain how killing a load of Britons would help the Palestinian cause.

What was most interesting was hearing Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Dutch Member of Parliament, an African Muslim pummelling her fellow Muslims for their duplicitous answers on the question of terrorism. The exchange was heated and not the most polite. More damning was the ease with which the BBC was able to find radicals in Luton who hoped that Britain would be attacked by “foreign fighters”. These men were not found in some back alley but on the high street of the town.

The letters page of the Telegraph contains some interesting response to the latest arrests. The most interesting one relays information that I have published often. There is no such thing as moderate Muslims.

Is the Hydra finally dead?

April 01st, 2004 | Category: UK Politics

Today marks the move of Conservative Central Office to more modest digs a few streets away from Smith Square. A severe cull has occurred in their numbers to match the new location’s space. Those in the know claim that the Tory Party has made an effort to weed out the multitude of venenous cretins that were denizens of Smith Square. Let us hope for the sake of the Tory Party and the health of British politics that deed has been done.

Straw gets serious with EU

April 01st, 2004 | Category: Politics

FOREIGN SECRETARY, JACK STRAW, THREATENS THE EUROPEAN COURT OF JUSTICE WITH THE UK’s WITHDRAWAL FROM THE EUROPEAN UNION

In the House of Commons on Tuesday, 30th March 2004 Jack Straw envisaged that the UK may withdraw from the European Union if it follows through with its policies to standardise health care provision.

Following on from the Bruges Group’s research warning that the European Union will standardise health care Labour MP Gwyneth Dunwoody asked Jack Straw,

“If, in the course of demands for harmonisation, it was decided that the principle that the national health service should be free at the point of use was incompatible with health systems throughout the Community, which rely almost entirely on insurance-based schemes that are differently organised so that up-front payment is essential, would we be able to retain our system, or would we be told that it was incompatible owing to European law?”

In response he replied that,

“Let me be clear, however, that if the European Court of Justice sought to do that, there would be a political crisis that would affect our membership of the European Union and be a matter for concern for all Members on both sides of the House.”

This follows the revelation in the Bruges Group’s latest pamphlet on the EU Constitution that the NHS is, indeed, under threat.

Jack Straw was a strident campaigner to quit the EEC in 1975. Is he returning to his roots? Do we see a split in the Government developing? Will this be the final straw?
