First of all, Stephen Pollard has written a biting piece on left-wing hypocrisy. More specifically, he challenges the trend in certain types to bleat on about state schools but then send their chilldren to private schools (inc. Tony Blair).
Next we have Melanie, who lets us know about a member of the European Parliament hammering the EU’s policy on Israel. German Green MEP has written a pretty devasting critique on the reasoning behind the EU love of all things Palestinian.
Meanwhile in Maine the “digital divide” debate still rages, despite the governor’s bloated plan to give every student a computer. Scott K Fish has discovered an interesting solution to the problem of obsolescence, a plan initiated by a Colby graduate.
Elsewhere, the latest BestofMe is up, minus, due to email problems, our entry. It is my understanding that email has been rather flaky of late thanks to the MyDoom virus. The post should appear in next week’s version.
And finally, Colby shares his thoughts on nannyists who wish to ban spanking.

Check out great piece by C.Cosh on the recently published early novel of Robert Heinlein. Lovely piece in the American Spectator. Boy, he can write.
Tony Blair’s children are all at / all went to state schools. He may have pulled strings to get them into unusually good state schools; whether this is better or worse than sending them to private schools is an open question, but it’s certainly not the same thing.
