Das Reichroaches
The flat and house in which I live in London has acquired some unexpected guests from the Vaterland. We have an infestation of German Cockroaches. While they do walk in rather straight lines, we have yet to observe any black crosses on their backs. Although it is tempting to call in the RAF to handle this German invasion, we have instead opted for the services of Rentokill (a bloody good name). One does have to wonder if these German roaches have stolen all the good spots to spawn and forced out the local population of bugs. Rest assured, dear readers, we shall soon be using WMDs on these little Hun-bugs. We will fight them in the sink and on the kitchen counter. We shall never surrender.

I have visions of you making aeroplane and machine gun noises as you zoom in with the cans of bug exterminator. .
It’s Rentokil, but it’s still a bloody good name!
Never in the field of human/bug conflict has the death of so many roaches owed so much to so few metaphors!
