But they complained mightily about Gitmo!!
It would seem that HMG wants to play both sides of the net in this game of jurisprudence in the fight against terrorism, but that’s just wrong. “Sauce for the ….. ” calls for the same rules for all, doesn’t it?

About 3 months ago, the great Blogspot Exodus of ‘03 began – thanks to a special offer from 1&1 Internet. They are offering free website hosting for 3 years. You don’t need a credit card, just a valid phone number which they use to send a PIN number. More information on this offer is available here. They will also register a Domain Name for you for a mere $5.99 (per year).
There are only a few days left on this offer, so I suggest that if you’re interested in getting a Movable Type blog, you read this.

Gulf war hero Colonel Tim Collins has resigned from the Army.
The Mail on Sunday quoted Collins’ wife Caroline as saying he was disillusioned with changes in the armed forces.
“He’s worried it is being crippled by political correctness, petty bureaucracy and the refusal of politicians who send British soldiers to war to give them enough money to do their job.”Surely this is but one more reminder of HMG’s failures in managing one of the most important functions they have promised to do well: defend the country.Mrs Collins told the newspaper a major factor in her husband’s decision to resign was the Army’s failure to support him when he was wrongly accused of mistreating Iraqi prisoners.
