Leather, babes, and Kelly
Last night saw an album preview from Monster Magnet in deepest Camden. Not only were we treated to a secret hour-long gig (featuring songs from the new album) but the party before and afterwards saw the likes of Kelly Osbourne and members of the band Die So Fluid, amoungst others. Grog, lead singer & bassist of DSF/total babe, told me of her band’s plans for their next release. Grog had just finished appearing with Kelly on TTTP, playing keyboards on ‘Changes”, after playing bass on Kelly’s recent tour.
It was a great party, and Dave of Samizdata fame couldn’t stop grinning. He and I enjoyed the hospitality of Nik from Work Hard PR well into the night. He especially enjoyed pointing out to several of MM that their new video was on the screen. Turns out they hadn’t seen it themselves and were pleased to have a gander.
We should have both the new Monster Magnet and the new one from Die So Fluid in the early new year.
Update: Dave has posted his version of the last two night’s events. I think he is way too kind to the Darkness.
