(NB: This is the first part of a two-part story.)
The Sages most recent appointment was not last minute. Nice change really from the norm. Another difference was that the visitor was to appear during the day and probably not even bedraggled, unlike numerous recent ones.
The Iman spoke softly on the phone in a manner almost apologetic. Sage believed he did not know of the man. The voice on the other end was polite, yes, polite in extremis. The fact that the whole “Satanic abuse” scandals have been throughly debunked doesn’t stop some therapists from pursuing their conspiracy theories. In the end, of course, all they are doing is making mentally ill people more ill.
Wonder if any of these arsehats will show up in Berlin?

Flargh has written a post on PCs & their viruses. Unlike his post during the mass panic about this last worm, this one is much more staid. The piece details the differences between PC & Macs and how they relate to viruses. Conclusion: if you are truly paranoid about viruses and aren’t an uber-geek, get a Mac.
In other news, it seems that Blogger suffered a DNS attack yesterday.

He thinks Bush is beatable, and that any of the frontrunners in the Democratic primary lot could beat him. I think unless Bush does something incredibly stupid in the next 14 months, he will win in 2004. The question is by how much he will win. Will it be another tight race or will we see another blow-out? Bush is not unbeatable (there is no such thing in politics) but he will be hard to beat.

You thought you’d escaped more of my blathering but no such luck. I’ve had a bit too much to drink, but when has that stopped me before?
I nearly took the night off because I was at an old friend’s new place, about a mile or two from here.
Him I see about once or twice a month; I haven’t seen his two daughters for a year now and they are sprinting into womanhood, coltish and lovely.
Played pool; drank beer; Trogdor; moved furniture; more beer; more Trogdor.
All in all, a good time. Especially with Trogdor.
