If Gray goes no Dem will run

The chairman of the Democratic National Committee vowed Thursday that no Democrat will run to replace Gov. Gray Davis if a Republican-led recall drive reaches the ballot. Strategists from both parties believe the Democratic governor’s chances of survival would be greater if no fellow members of his party appear on the ballot.” (07/17/03)

Don’t you just love politicians acting like children? It will be fun to watch California Democrats sulk if Gray gets the boot. One wonders if they can make this decision stick. There have to be a whole load of Democrats chomping at the bit to try and win this election.

In writing about the latest NASA disaster in the Free Market, I pointed out the problems and depressing realities about socialist space travel. What I did not say was something that is even more depressing: the roots of both disasters were planted in the government’s environmental policies.
