If you are a loon make sure you are not white!

July 14th, 2003 | Category: Politics

Susanna reports on a nice bit of racism from NPR. It seems that LaRouche will not get airtime on NPR but Mostly Fraud and Sharpton will get their due. Despite the fact that NPR gets tax-payer funds, they don’t feel they are obligated to give time to all candidates running for President. I hope LaRouche (and any other white Dem candidates for Pres) sue NPR for their bigotry.

16 little words!!

July 14th, 2003 | Category: Politics

What a bunch of nasty but dumb prats there are out there. Taking 16 little words totally out of context, distorting what they mean, lying about what the exact wording was. But what else can they do, seeing they’ve got nothing to offer, themselves.

The precise wording, taken directly from the State Of The Union text, is:

The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa.
That State Of The Union speech was given at the end of January…almost 6 months ago...anything further learned since then does not change the truth at the time of statement. To say other is to lie, so the complainers are the ones who are lying, damn it. It really is that simple, and all else is nothing but miserable little nothings making noises to splutter all over the boob tube, nothing else!

If, as, and when any of the political opposition ever gets a clue, they’ll realise just how stupid they really look!

Peter has Polly T blogging for him now. Its nice to see that he allows other viewpoints on his blog. Even if they happen to be from a noxious ole’ left-wing crank like Polly.

We didn’t see this coming…

Rob is back in Judas Priest. You think this might have to do with the fact that the “Ripper” era output has blown chunks? I bet Halford has gotten himself a very nice deal to get him back. One thing I have to say, Ripper is a hell of a lot better in his Priest gig than Blaze was in Maiden.

What are the odds on a Ripper and Blaze tour? With support from Paul Dianno and that bloke Ray from Genesis (who actually just released a great album)?

Video Games the new metal?

July 14th, 2003 | Category: Politics

“Some critics and concerned legislators are claiming that the modern day equivalent of Cops and Robbers must be regulated by government to protect minors from the purported ill effects of video games. The logic here is fairly straightforward: If kids are exposed to violent imagery in video games, they will become aggressive children or violent adults later in life. Although unable to muster credible evidence proving this thesis, legislators across America have been
introducing measures that would regulate home video games or coin-operated arcade games on these grounds.” (07/14/03)

Well they went after rock music claiming that incited “the children” with no evidence. Now this lot are trying it with video games, despite the fact their is evidence that video games are good for young minds. Surely if you don’t want violent children, cleaning up gangs in the inner cities might be a better place to start.

Another point, movies are mostly live action, while video games mostly animation. Now which one would children be more likely to imitate? The trouble is that those who want to regulate are Democrats and they aren’t going to bite the Hollywood hand that feeds.

Seems to be the logical choice

July 14th, 2003 | Category: Politics

Like most mothers, Michelle Dumas is concerned about the kind of society her young daughter will grow up in. ‘I want to raise my daughter in a place free from violent crime, where she will have access to high quality education, and where personal responsibility is inherent in the culture,’ Dumas said. Concern for the kind of society where her daughter will grow up is one of the reasons why the 33-year-old Somersworth woman joined the Free State Project after discovering the group on the Internet about 18 months ago.” (07/13/03)

Wow terrorists travel!

July 14th, 2003 | Category: UK Politics

A suspected IRA dissident, reported to be training Palestinian militants in the use of explosives, has been arrested bIsraeli police in the West Bank. The man, whose identity was not revealed by
the police yesterday, is believed to have been detained since Thursday. He was picked up at an army checkpoint near Ramallah. He is said to have been a member of the Provisional IRA from Newry, Co Down, who defected to the Real IRA four years ago.” (07/14/03)

Wonder what O’Reily will have to say about this? First the Paddy terrorists (IRA) are caught in South American with leftists rebels and now this.

Well Sasha is off to galavant around Oz with Tex. I, alas, am still stuck in Maine, cooling my jets, waiting for developments to occur in Albion. I shall be holding down the fort here, contributing to Blogcritics and all the rest of my outlets.
