It seems Lewiston, Maine, has just discovered the perils of being a pc-city. Their “welcoming” tone to immigrants, despite their being rather downtrodden and poor, is turning to a minor key, and the tolerance temperature has finally reached a boiling point. Their mayor, a French-Canadian, has expressed his disquiet at the city being overwhelmed with Somalis, and is suffering abuse for it. It seems his fellow “caring & sharing” types are none too pleased with him daring to question the right of Somalis to come leech off of his city’s taxpayers. This Democratic stronghold, mostly responsible for keeping Maine’s second district in their hands, is suffering from its own stupity.
Sympathy, from me? Nope, not a bit of it. Lewiston’s mayor is not racist, just a bit too naif.

Mark Steyn has just done a number on Babs. Is there no end to this guy’s writing talent? He is right; one of the nice things about being in the Tory Party is not having to deal with nitwit celebs at all the good parties. Not having to party with Liam Gallagher and Jude Law is something to be pleased about.
It seems I am not the only fan of Steyn. Great minds think alike?

A Sneer From The Den….....
Andrew first made note of the nastily arrogant attitude of certain muslim clerics in the Anzac area; now one can add another one to the list, along with an individual from the Anglican community of Australia who is, apparently, just as misled as many others around the world. Commentary provided by ABC-Watch as to which statements by whom pose more danger to our world !!
UPDATE: It has been announced that the Indonesian government has taken said latest nasty cleric, Bashir, into detainment for interrogation. Let us hope that it will be both long and very uncomfortable !!
