Oh boy…peace arseholes have decided to tie up London again.
Nice to know they feel they need to do it on a weekday, and even worse, on Halloween!

Cuthbertson has addressed my observations on the Howard’s speech to party activists. He makes some extremely good points about the state of the Tory Party.

Hitch has been interviewed in the Front Page Mag. Like everything that comes out of Christopher Hitchens, it is fascinating stuff. He is the poster-bloke for likable, reasonable, intelligent left-wingers. Would that there would be more like him!

Sarah Sands takes a few shots at Patricia Hewitt over her whingeing about the Motor Show poster. Ms Hewitt has very successfully shown herself to be a humourless gimp. It might have been a good idea for her to check the sex of the creator of the advert first.
Is there some rule that Labour politicians may not do irony?

A Rueful Grin From The Den….....
MommaBear is most remiss in failing to notify the Blogdom that there is a new coalition being formed open specifically to Bears, with associate membership available to all other furry critters at large running blogs. CUB, the Coalition of Ursine Bloggers, is now accepting applications. Send your CV and other pertinent data, including your site’s URL, to NZ_Bear at the address available on his fine site.

To Greg Dyke: You are so full of it; we can now see why BBC programming is so shite these days. There is simply no justification for the the licence fee. It’s outdated and unfair taxation that needs to be ended poste haste.

“Robin Bryer, a chartered town planner, sent a terse reply: “Very simple. No worthwhile room is less than 10ft wide. Add 3ft for a corridor, 3ft for a staircase. Result: 16ft. QED. True in 1500. True today. True in 2500.”
A response to Andrew Marr’s post about the size on the frontage on the average English house.
Quite a few Tory types loath Andrew Marr; never understood why. He might be a bit of a leftie, but at least he is a clever, well spoken, and well written one.

Islamist Leader in London: No Universal Jihad As Long As There is No Caliphate. The leader also goes on to say that only “occupied” lands are suitable for jihad, although he does include Northern Spain in this. Yet another excellent piece of information from MEMRI.

Over at Norwegian Blogger, Cthulhu flavoured fiskings continue. The latest is an “intermissions” before the next installment in the woeful tale of betrayal and stupidy in the court of the Sultan.

James “Grumpy” Bennett and Rand Simberg have teamed up to write a rather amusing piece of satire. I would recommend a read of it…and not one mention of the word Anglosphere!

Frankly, MommaBear was not even sure which cap to wear for this one: Dodgeblogium is proud to announce that they are part of the “founding posters” crew now featured at NZ_Bear’s new The Weblog Action Centers site. He has assembled a good group who will be putting up the best of their posts from their own blogs, particularly related to specific areas, Leaders, Issues, Organizations, and Grab Bag, as you will discover if you go there right now!

Should we make it official? Great Britain has pulled ahead of the United States in a rush to surpass the Netherlands in crazy political correctness.
‘People won’t be able to discriminate when it comes to employing nannies in their own homes,’ said a Home Office spokeswoman.
The only exemption would be if they can show a ‘genuine occupational requirement’ to hire someone of a particular racial group – such as an elderly Muslim woman who wanted a home help who was also a Muslim.
So why can Muslims discriminate and noone else? If I’m an elderly black woman, why can’t I hire home help that’s black without facing legal suit? Why can’t I choose who I want to have access to my home, possessions, housekeys and valuables? You should be able to evaluate and decide who you want to let in the front door. WITHOUT a charge of racism.
But wait, it gets better:
Under the Home Office proposals, for the first time the burden of proof in all employment tribunals would also be shifted so that it is effectively up to employers to prove they are not racist, rather than workers to prove that there was discrimination, so long as there is a prima facie case to answer
Let me add, under the Home Office proposals, a lot of domestic workers will be out of work, since a lot more mothers will be staying at home and doing their own housework and child care in lieu of facing heavy monetary and legal penalties. Am I the only one that thinks this is insane?
And for an extra fillip to the conundrum – I’m from the American South. In my area of the country, if you are white and hire a black maid or nanny, you’re considered racist and discriminatory, because you are placing the black person in a position of servitude and obeisance to a white person. It’s a crazy, mixed up world.

F1 officials have seen fit to drop the ball attempting to make the races more exciting. Instead, they are mucking about on the fringes but not making any real changes. They are obviously not as worried about their dropping TV ratings as they should be. Anyone betting Ferrari won’t dominate again next year? They could learn a lesson or two from CART, althought this week’s race in Australia was a bit too exciting for some.

”(...umm, Andrew, how right wing is the Telegraph or the sunday Times old boy? Isn’t there a chance you get jobs there because you’re well, Conservative?)”Kind words from British Politics about yours truly. Well, I would love to write for the Telegraph; don’t know about the Sunday Times, though. The DT/ST are far more libertarian than the Times is, closer to my mind set. If the Telegraph were to call, it would be rude of me to refuse. A weekly column would do nicely, thank you. Comments are off for this post

Patricia Hewitt thinks that the adverts for the British Motor Show are “sexist and pathetic.” No, my dear, you are “pc, pathetic, and patronising”. It turns out that the adverts were actually designed by a woman. Is Ms Hewitt the only person in Britain to not realise that sex sells? Has she not been on the tube lately? Er, wait a second, no government pondscum would be caught delayed on the tube. There are adverts for everything from Archers to Clothes that are no less sexist than the car show adverts. Of course, many of them feature men instead of women, so they can’t be sexist, right?

The DT has seen fit to echo my comments on the Shadow Chancellor’s lacklustre approach to his job. They, too, find his lack of direction, waffling on taxes, and abandonement of Tory ideals perplexing and worrying. What is the point of a Tory Party that does not support cutting taxes and red-tape? What is the point of a Tory Party that does not believe in privatising public services and giving people choices in their public services?
With Tony Blair (if not the Labour Party) on the centre-group, the only place the Tory Party can go is to radicalism. The sooner they learn this, the quicker they will come to power. Blair-lite will just not cut it. Why vote for the fake one when you can get the real thing?

HBO3 seems to think that those scum that took over 700 people hostage in Moscow are not terrorists, rather rebels or “freedom fighters”. It is this sort of attitude towards the Chechen question that so infuriates the Russians. The Chechens are, indeed, ruthless terrorists who are content to slaughter civilians at will. These are the people who blew up two housing blocks in Moscow. This lot use the same methods to achieve their aims as Timothy McVeigh. The Chechens are primarily domestic terrorists and are an internal problem.
However, this lot do have links to Al Queda and Bin Liner; the US should be helping the Russians to tackle them, as they are part of the same disease that caused 9/11 and the Bali bomb. Americans and the British should show their support for Putin and the Russians lest we seem hypocrites. We should congratulate them, not castigate them as some of the press is doing today. Acidman has even more to say about it, as well. Russia is in the front line of the war against Islamonazism.
Putin needs to reciprocate and help the West with its Islamonazi problem. There needs to co-operation as we face a common vicious enemy bent on our destruction, much as we did at the advent of WWII. This time we do not have to reconcile aligning ourselves with Communists. A welcome change no doubt.

A little birdy has informed me that Stephen Twigg MP might be losing his seat prematurely. The flamboyant gay MP who took over from Michael Portillo seems to have massaged his curriculum vitae a wee bit to imply he is has qualifications he doesn’t. There seems to a blind panic among certain Tories to get selected for the prime (and formerly safe) seat. Wonder what Candidatewatch will have to say about it?
Comments are off for this postIdiotarian mocking with extra Cthulhu
Please find your way over to my fellow Cthulhu mythos writer, Vegard. He uses the Great Ones to mock idiotarians in his satirical tales. Methinks he will soon need to be linked by Shoggoth, the home of my Sage of Wales tales. Not a terrible surprise that the Great Ones are interested in politics mind; these days it is the best way to manipulate things for the Great One’s needs. The Cthulhu connection does explain the idiocy and insanity of some of the idiotarians.
Update: The tale continues over at Vegard’s.

Tory MEPs in Bad Company? Well, since 1992 they certainly have been keeping odd company. They are part of the European People’s Party, a dodgy-named outfit that are about as pro-EU/Euro as they come. How the Tory MEPs who are allegedly against the Euro could be in with this lot has always been a bit of mystery.
