I have, in my time, in the UK as an adult and a Eurosceptic, encountered those who say that this country should throw its lot in with the US and become 4 states. I disagree; I see no reason why Britain should not stand as an independent state off the coast of Europe. (Not only that, I have written a trilogy about just this whole scenario.) The UK should be independent.There are aspects about the US that I loath. I prefer living in these Isles for varied reasons. I do not loath the US, but I do loath the EU.
I could not bear for it to be a “European” UK, because it would ruin all the aspects of the UK that make it the best place on earth to live. I love this country with all my heart and soul, and the EU would only ruin it (or would do more so than is already done). Those who wish to see the UK join the EU loath their country and wish it to be more European. They are no different from those who do down the US (Americans); who think the US deserved the attack of 9/11.The UK is a great kingdom which can exist on its own without being a member of any other Union of states. It has always been and long may it remain so. What moved me to write this? A post from my friend Emmanuel Goldstein inspired this.

Now that all you dear readers [22, at last count] have seen Andrew at play, MommaBear would ask that you kindly keep an eye on him from 11SEP to 14SEP, as PoppaBear and MommaBear are off with The Rolling Den for a few days hols. She will feel much better knowing that he might behave at least a wee bit better if he thought that he was being observed for any signs of naughty behavio(u)r.
