A ‘Hrrmmm’ From The Den….....
MommaBear has been following the debate circulating from blog to blog about Steven Den Beste’s commentaries about those who chose not to put a ‘real name’ to each post on a blog. On this blog, the founder, Andrew Ian Dodge, attaches his name to each and every post he writes. MommaBear is known to quite a few people in blogdom by her own name, but MommaBear was adopted long, long ago and has been used for many, many years as a play on her own name. Continuing that custom here on the internet was not an attempt to hide anything; it is more a case of just still being who she is. The comments and writings here are a true and accurate reflection of the underlying person with a slightly different name. Having been in the habit of writing many Letters to the Editor over the last 35 years, this blog is nothing more than an extension of that practice. If we were to meet in person, each one of you would discover that MommaBear is not only very real, but just exactly as she seems on the blog.
