Well, World Cup fever is truly on top of us here in England. Me, I could not give a toss about it, since sport is a colossal waste of time and energy. However, it will help the country and might encourage a bit of national pride if the England side does win the whole shooting match. Today I witnessed a pub in the City packed at 11 am; they were watching the first friendly.
Barring terrorism or a world war, not much is going to happen in the UK for the next month or so. We have the World Cup and the Golden Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. It will be interesting if anything distracts for those two things; I rather doubt it.
Your host seems to have fixed his ISP problems so expect to see more posts now. My distraction for the past few weeks, Mater, is leaving on Thursday. Oh, and I have written a few non-blog things as well. [ed.- posted for Andrew Ian Dodge, as Blogger and blogspot seem to be difficult, today]
