Rich at Shots Across the Bow has some more musings on suicide bombers. What caught my notice was this odd line from someone named Khaled:

“The 72 virgins are real – their skin is so pale and beautiful that you can see the blood in their veins.”

Women so pale you can see their veins? I had a girlfriend like that; she passed out all the time. Its called Anemia, guys! So the virgins in paradise are all anemic! So now not only do you have to worry about the fact it could be a mis-translation and actually be 72 raisins, if you do get your virgins, they are all anemic sickly creatures. In the post there is another line about the virgins “dissolving in water”, so they have leprosy as well.

But, seriously folks, isnt it odd these towel-head nutters are lusting after white women? Of course, that might explain the white female slave trade in that part of the world. By that I mean the one that still exists in the Middle East.

Briffa over at Public Interest has a link to some more interesting info on Tom “Martyr” Paulin. It seems he has annoyed some of the hard-core loyallists in Northern Ireland. They want him dead; I do hope no one wastes any money protecting this guy. Rushdie at least HAD talent, Paulin’s is dubious at best.

Oh gee, Michael Shumacher has won another GP! If I had spent a great deal of money buyng the rights to broadcast these races I would be worried. F1 has gotten so boring and predictable that there is hardly any reason to watch it anymore. I am sure I am not the only one who no longer puts the race on in the background on a Sunday afternoon. Who cares about a high-speed procession lead by an arrogant German prat in a Ferrari? The best thing Bernie could do for his sport is to offer Schuie a big fat bribe to sod off and allow F1 to be interesting again.

Barbara Amiel takes on most of the European press in a brilliant screed against journalists covering the Israeli conflict. As you would expect Tom Paulin comes in for a savaging. Most amusing are her suggestions that the Israeli army should let nosy reporters into the battle zone rather than stopping them. Secondly, she explains that many in the press forget that in the David and Goliath story, David was a Jew.
