Emmanuel takes me to task again over some of my comments on Israel.
He make several interesting points:1. Islamists wish to take over the world this by force. I doubt that if the Pope were to call for a new crusade to the Holy Land you would get masses of people volunteering to fight. I don’t believe that most Muslims care to bring about a Muslim world by force.
“2. Islamo-Fascist is just name calling. We wouldn’t dare use a similar term for West Bank settlers – quite rightly. Let’s keep consistent.”
I routinely refer to the West bank settlers as loons. Most of these American and British nut-cases are WACO-like extremists (ala Kahane). They are as bad as Hamas. They have already launched one attack and I think you might just see Jewish extremists start killing Pelestinians again. I have heard one speak, and he believed that it would be best if there were no Palestinians in Israel at all.

Boris Johnson is getting on my nerves. Recently I have learned that he is a lusted after by young Tory ladies. A few weeks back, I had one such specimen sitting next to me, cooing over him as he spoke at a meeting. Is it not enough that he runs a great magazine, is MP for Henley, writes brilliant articles like this, and has great hair? Now we have Boris the heartthrob! It just isn’t fair!

A Growl From The Den….....
MommaBear has always considered one subset of H. Sapiens(?) as particularly dangerous left running loose; ‘they’ have proved it once again. She refers, of course to those labeled ‘wonks’, ‘wankers’, ‘bean counters’, etc. Many of ‘their’ decisions promulgated lately “in the name of security” have served to demonstrate that, in times of stress, their miserable attributes come lurching forward to do great damage to a populace not deserving of such vile treatment.
Suman Palit has written movingly of just one such case involving people who have done absolutely nothing wrong to deserve such cavalier, peremptory, and insulting regulations that presume all those who would come to this country are potential evildoers. “They” have decided that they are the enemy and can never be trusted. This is insulting beyond all proportion; this is overreaction to the Nth degree.
Since their credo holds dear the concept that it matters not the result of ‘their’ rulings causing great difficulty, pain, or other distress, MommaBear has convinced that crazy relative, The WereBear, from next door to permit her to borrow an idea of his about how to give that batch of loons an award they richly deserve. In order to maintain some degree of civility on this blog, as opposed to his residence, it will be referred to only by its initials; for a full description, wander next door to Darker than Dark; he will have given it the full treatment.
