A simple point has been posted at Yourish.com. I would, however, remind Meryl that there are Christians being killed on a daily basis all over the Arab world. Whether it be the forgotten ones in Sudan or the more high profile deaths in Pakistan, these people are being killed because of their religion. The Islamo-facists have one collective idea, to make the world Islamic. I can tell them one thing though, I would be willing to sacrifice my life to make sure they fail in their endeavor.
Vincent Carroll takes on those who try to justify September 11th by spreading myths about the Crusades. It makes the valid point that most of the battles between Christendom and Islam were about re-taking lands invaded by Islam.

Jay has written the second of his columns on the future of the Libertarian Party in the US. Unlike some blog commentators, he does not equate all libertarians with the Libertarian Party. The LP is not even fully recognised and on the ballot in all 50 states. The LP certainly does not speak either for me or many other libertarians in the US. It only speaks for itself, and doesn’t do that very well. There are many libertarians in the US who run as independents and do well. Jay’s list of goals for the party is a good one. If the LP gets themselves sorted, it is possible that they will be able to be a highly influential force in US politics. Thanks to Kathy for pointing me to this link.

The lack of posting this week, so far, has been due to the fact I have been spending time with James Bennett of Anglosphere fame and Iain Murray. Today at lunch we had 3 major bloggers and two soon-to-be bloggers. Tomorrow we are doing dinner, and present will be contributors to Samizdata, Air Strip One, Dodgeblog, Edge of England’s Sword, and Tory Revival. So, if any of you dislike the afore-mentioned sites, you can track us down to a restaurant in Chelsea. I shall make sure to be sitting against the wall as to avoid any easy shots to the head.
