From The Den….....

As you all know, MommaBear takes a very dim view of most H. Sapiens(?) as being not the best they should be; however, she has been missing from the ‘plodding and posting’ scene for a very good reason. She has come out of retirement to do some graphic display work for one of her cubs who is trying to join the ranks of that subset of H. Sapiens(?) that definitely bears careful scrutiny: to wit, politicians. [Please wish him well]

He is running for local office after having put in a tremendous amount of time serving on appointed boards, so he has the background. Now, if the electorate would just show some signs of common sense, all will be well. Even after the cubs are long gone from the den, momma bears just somehow never stop being ‘mommas’. MEMRI has two new pieces detailing the lies that are being peddled in the Arab world. One of them details the repetition of a Nazi myth that Benjamin Franklin and Washington were both hard-core anti-semites. In this forgery Franklin is quoted as saying the Jews must be driven from the American shores or they will surely destroy it. The colossal lack of historical accuracy in some of the statements being made in the Arab press is just stunning. There seems to be a trend amoung Islamo-fascist writers for perusing white hate groups (and maybe even black ones) and pinching their anti-semitic material.

I Am A: Lawful Good Human Paladin Fighter
That total b’stard Iain has linked to this on his blog. As an ex-AD&D player (with someone in the room playing Baldurs Gate II) I was forced to go here and take the test. I was shocked at the result. Chaotic Good I expected; Lawful I was stunned.

Alignment:
Lawful Good characters are the epitome of all that is just and good. They believe in order and governments that work for the benefit of all, and generally do not mind doing direct work to further their beliefs.

Race:
Humans are the ‘average’ race. They have the shortest life spans, and because of this, they tend to avoid the racial prejudices that other races are known for. They are also very curious and tend to live ‘for the moment’.

Primary Class:
Paladins are the Holy Warriors. They have been chosen by a God/dess to be their representative on Earth, and must follow the code of that deity, or risk severe penalties. They tend towards being righteous, but not generally to excess.

Secondary Class:
Fighters are the warriors. They use weapons to accomplish their goals. This isn’t to say that they aren’t intelligent, but that they do, in fact, believe that violence is frequently the answer.

Deity:
Tyr is the Lawful Good god of justice. He is also known as Tyr Grimjaws, Wounded Tyr, the Maimed God, and Blind Tyr. He appears as a warrior, missing his hand. Followers of Tyr are concerned first and foremost with justice – discovering the truth and punishing the guilty for their crimes. They wear blue and purple robes with a white sash, a white gauntlet on the left hand, and a black gauntlet on the right, to symbolize Tyr’s lost hand. Their preferred weapon is the warhammer. Tyr’s symbol is a set of scales resting on a warhammer.

I do apologise to all our readers, I have spent of much of the day making sure that Perry is able to get online. His computer went south and it was necessary for him to get a new one and fully configure it. I have done my bit as fixer. I do hope that Perry is now back online for a long time to come.
