A Moan From The Den….....

Once again, Homo Sapiens, or at least one specimen alleged to be one, has demonstrated what it means to be totally depraved as a result of having a deficient personhood. If ever a “person” demonstrated ‘sick’ as a personality trait, Rall has done so. Since that piece of excrement that appeared briefly in the formerly good rag, the NYT, was pulled from accessible files, all links fail. However, the Good Captain, Steven Den Beste, of the Good Ship USS Clueless has preserved it for all to access, [ed. – MB has it tucked up in her files, too], at least those who have some decency will be able to see what the well-deserved furor is all about. Arguments against anything are best buttressed by evidence, so for those that feel the need for access, here’s where to go.

From The Den….....

Most mornings MommaBear ventures forth to nose about for news nuggets, tasty tidbits, and whatever else seems interesting. Here is a particularly intriguing one. At Daimnation there is a link that goes to a “poll” purporting to ask ‘fundamental’ questions about September 11th. Given the “tilt” of the site, taking this poll is difficult, but it can be done with some degree of effort. Comments are invited, so, needless to say, MommaBear left hers. If you, also, take this poll, perhaps it won’t be quite so lop-sided in the results.

Shouting Cross the Potomac has a great counter to Rep. Inhofe’s ignorant inainities on Palestine. To add to his daft assertions, the Rep aped the words of the good Revs Falwell and Robertson in stating “This is why God pulled his mantle from us…” The is a reference to the post-9/11 statements of the two revs blaming the outrage on abortionists and homosexuals amoungst others. And some Americans wonder why Europeans think them mad?

Protein Wisdom has trumpeted the fact that an offensive cartoon by Ted Rall was pulled by the New York Times. The offence was caused by its depiction of the 9/11 widow as money grubbing. The NYT was bombarded with emails from those offended. PW managed to produce a pretty pathetic cartoon mocking Rall.

While PW, et al, give themselves a pat on the back for their efforts, they might want to remember something. Surely they have just created a “martyr” for the anti-American left. Ted has been censored for his views on post 9/11. Surely it would have been a better idea to expose the cartoon to air of public scorn. It is possible Mr Rall wrote the cartoon to get attention. If that is the case, he succeeded very well.

Janet Daley has written another great piece; this time she tackles the left’s betrayal of blacks in the UK. Like James Bennett and Brian from Samizdata, this woman needs her own blog. Reading her once a week or so is just not enough.

Last night saw a smaller version of the LBB, in a Chelsea restaurant. Three bloggers and one soon- to-be blogger got together for a night of spanish food, wine and good chat. Perry, from Samizdata, was one of the willing participants, and responsible for choosing the delightful Spanish Restaurant, El Bason.

It was a great opportunity for several of us at the table to use our Spanish. The wonderful thing about the language is that drinking improves your memory of the language. Yours truly indulged himself in a fine cigar from Castro’s socialist paradise. I was thinking of the Cuban people’s plight with every puff I can assure you!

Those wishing to see your host here at Dodgeblog in an even more evil light than pictures posted so far, should email Perry requesting he post the other shots he has of the LBB.

It is a great shame that Bush has succumbed to socialist (union) pressures and slapped anti-competitive tariffs on foreign steel. It is sad to see a Republican President acting in this manner. Needless to say, steel workers, (what is left of them) in the UK, are up in arms. They claim, quite rightly, that they had to change to reflect the new market, but the Americans refuse to do so.
