From The Editor’s Desk….....
In addition to all her myriad other duties, from time to time MommaBear will put on her Editor’s Cap, [looking very stylish, indeed], to respond to avid readers’ [all 5 of them] eMails. One of them arrived in response to the commentary about the “anti” ads that are supposed to dissuade ALL from engaging in some form or other of activity that the “anti’s”, in their “superior wisdom” have decided is not good for others. They assume that, just because “They Have Spoken”, it is dictum.
Here is the reality: ”..... I’ve become convinced that the problem is that such ads are designed to preach to the converted. They’re made by the most extreme “anti-whatevers” and generally bear little or no resemblance to reality. They do not take into account their target audience at all. Anti-smoking PSAs (for example, they just happen to be the most blatant right now) are not designed to appeal to smoker’s better nature and change their behavior, they’re designed to appeal to anti-smoking extremists and make them feel like something is being done. ...”
All of these ridiculous ads are composed, promoted, and promulgated by people who have several serious defects in personhood. “Anti’s” suffer from arrested development which leaves them still in the tantrum mode of early childhood. They know no other way to get attention than to scream, hit out, stamp their feet, and wreak havoc. They have a narrowness of perspective and thought beyond all reasonable dimension. Now that we live in an age of acceptance of ‘multi-culturism’, ‘multi-theologies’, multi-this’, multi-that’, there is no longer any critical thinking or rational debate about anything. It is such a stultifying atmosphere that most people have decided to just go with the flow. Anyone else trying to be heard in rebuttal is drowned out in a cacaphony of drivel.
Given that kind of climate, it is no surprise that the “anti’s”, and their kin, the extremists, have taken over the airwaves, corrupted the landscape, and, in general, made a shambles of civil discourse.

Well it had to happen and I was thinking about it for a long time. Wake Me Up on Judgement Day has started a group effort blog-drinking game. He requests suggestions and will post a final version sometime in the future. Thanks to Instapundit for the heads up. I have sent 5 suggestions already, probably will send more.
